Reproduction of Saint Apollonia images held in the Wessler Collection at the Royal School of Dentistry in Stockholm

Image
Exact origin unknown, but most likely a woodcut, perhaps circa 16th Century, depicting Saint Apollonia holding a martyr's palm in her left hand and dental forceps with an extracted tooth in her right hand. The name "S Apollonia" appears beneath the main figure, and the faces and wings of four cherubs adorn the corners within the frame. Our original pieces in this set of four reproductions each measure 30 X 21 cm.
